Slippery Chase Game

In this Pachisi-style game, move your four pawns from the Start space around the board to your Finish zone. By flipping a card from the deck and following its instructions, players move their pawns around the board, swap places with other players, and send opponents' pawns back to their Start positions.

Slides are placed at various points around the game board. When a piece lands on the start of one of these slides, provided it is not of its own color, it automatically advances to the end of the slide, returning any piece present on the slide to its starting position.

Movement in the game is guided exclusively by the cards in the action deck. In the classic version, where only one card is drawn per turn, the outcome is heavily influenced by luck. However, *Sorry* becomes a more strategic (and more appealing to adults) game by dealing five cards to each player at the start. Each player can then choose the card they will play on their turn. In this version, at the end of each turn, a new card is drawn to replace the one that was played, ensuring each player always has five cards in hand.

A player's chances can change dramatically in one or two rounds thanks to the use of *Sorry* cards, "11" cards (which allow you to swap the position of your pawn with that of an opponent on the course), and the fact that it is possible to go from the Start square to the Finish square without going all the way around the board, by making judicious use of the "go back 4" cards.
